Baby circus

Baby circus is a happy pastime shared by the baby and the parent (s). The activities are baby-oriented and the circus session proceeds entirely on baby terms. In a stimulating environment, the baby gets to experience experiences and the joy of success. Interaction skills are learned in a baby circus. It is important and fun for babies to watch and get in touch with others of the same age. Through doing things together, the baby's trust and attachment to the parent is strengthened.

 

In the tutoring session you get to practice just the right circus species; acrobatics, juggling, balance sports and aerial acrobatics adapted to the developmental stages of the baby. The baby learns to perceive his body and environment through various trajectories that promote motor development. The baby circus rhymes and sings, tastes juggling balls and spins among colorful scarves. A small fitness section for parents is included in the class and is done together with the baby. The most important thing in a baby circus is that bustling together is fun!

When can you start a hobby?

The youngest baby cruisers are four months old. The hobby makes sense when the baby manages to support his head well and his waking time is long enough for 45min continuous activities. The skills of a little older group of babies include crawling, tipping and standing up. If the baby already knows how to walk, it makes more sense to move to the group of older 1-2-year-old Little Sculptors.

Eight babies will be admitted to the groups in order of registration. Guidance 45min at a time.

What do you need to bring?

Book yourself comfortable elastic clothes. The baby likes a well-fitting body and pants, an overalls or a kick suit. Not too loose or slippery clothes. In the premises of Taika-Aja, it is possible to change the diaper, breastfeed and feed the little ones. When coming to the course, you do not need to know anything in advance.

Directors:

Satu Koivu is a mother of three. Satu became interested in the circus in 2004 and when she graduated as a physical education instructor (BA) in 2006, she did a joint circus-related dissertation with her then fiancé, her current husband. Satu started working as a circus director at the beginning of the same year. Satu's own sports are rhönrad (gymnastic ring), aerial acrobatics and pair acrobatics. She started directing the baby circus in 2008. Satu is also an infant swimming instructor (SUH).

Sanna Rintapukka is a mother of a little boy, a sports advisor and personal trainer, who became enthusiastic about the circus hobby together with her son in 2018 and later trained as a baby circus instructor in 2019.
